Hong Kong: Communication cookies

Talking cakes, what a crazy idea!

Dragages Hong Kong staff members helped organise a cookie-making workshop in Hong Kong with children and their parents, primarily from underprivileged neighbourhoods or ethnic minorities or new arrivals. As well as baking, there was another point to the event: in this workshop, non-visually-impaired children were introduced to braille before putting their newly acquired skills into practice by decorating their cakes in braille.

It was a unique moment of integration and sharing and a clever way of showing people that it is possible to overcome learning challenges by doing things differently! And communicating beyond languages.
